Below is a list of training courses and CPD available
Behavioural Insights: £650 for up to 12 people. CPD. Training takes approx 3.5 hours
A look at how we can use behaviour to support better engagement and better understanding in our staff teams and learners using nudges, heuristics and design principles to support better engagement and behaviours.
Psychological First Aid to support Children and Adolescents: £650 for up to 12 people. CPD. Training takes approx 2.5 hours
This CPD looks at the stages of children’s development into adolescence and some key contextual elements and practical steps to consider when supporting them with the experiences of emergency or crisis situations.
Education Response in Emergencies: £650 for up to 12 people. CPD. Training takes approx 3.5 hours
Pre pandemic and lockdown we might have dismissed this as not relevant, however this training supports us to better react to interruptions in education provision due to emergencies such as pandemics and floods, and to be able to support learners to receive appropriate ongoing education.
Caring for the Caregivers: £450 for up to 12 people. CPD. Training takes approx 2 hours
Where learners are young carers this has an impact on their education and their ability to cope with the pressures of school as well as caring for loved ones. This is an introduction to supporting caregivers in education.
I support my friends facilitator training: £350 for up to 6 people. Facilitator Training. Training takes approx 3 hours
‘I support my friends’ is a programme for children and adolescents to help them support friends in distress. It was designed by the World Health Organisation, UNICEF and Save the Children. This is the half day orientation programme delivered in line with the psychological first aid programme.
Child Protection a systems based approach: £1250 per day. Audit and Report. Process takes 1-2 days depending on setting size.
The systems based approach to safeguarding drills down from a national perspective right through to the day to day reporting within settings. This process is a collaborative audit that goes through all aspects of safeguarding and supports key setting staff to create an action plan/ report for improvement.
Safeguarding Awareness Level 1: £300 for up to 30 people. Nuco Training National Qualification. Training takes about 3 hours
Level 1 training in awareness of safeguarding is a fantastic baseline for all employees to have across multiple industries. It is also a must for anyone on the education sector to be aware of the principles of safeguarding as it is legally everyones responsibility under KCSiE guidance.
Safeguarding Level 2: £55 per person up to 14 people per course. Nuco Training National Qualification. Training takes about 6 hours
Safeguarding level 2 is required by most education and care settings for all staff and is a great qualification to have for sports clubs, summer provision and any other role working with children and young people or with vulnerable adults.
Safeguarding Level 3: £155 per person up to 14 people per course. Nuco Training National Qualification. Training takes 2 days
Safeguarding Level 3 is mandatory for DSL and DDSL roles in education and care and is also a vital element of knowledge for school leadership and management or care home management. It is crucial to support safeguarding effectively for anyone working with children, young people and vulnerable adults.
